Forums Guidelines
Thank you for
considering joining us on the Titus 2 forums! May the Lord bless
you in a mighty way!
Our purpose for Titus 2 forums is to offer encouragement, fellowship,
and resources to moms, wives, and daughters. We reserve the right
to edit, remove posts, or put members on moderated status if we deem
it appropriate in order to maintain the purposes of our board.
Again...from our
home page (it's worth repeating) ... our forum members come in all
'flavors.' We represent a variety of denominations; ages, dress and
music styles... Some homeschool, some don't. Some are stay-at-home
moms and others aren't.
What we have in common is our love for the Lord, a desire to love
and encourage one another.

Mods:
The administrative team is made up of unpaid volunteers whose first
priority is to our families. We do not LIKE to edit, but we use our
best judgment. Please give us the benefit of the doubt, assume the best,
pray for us...and we promise to do the same for you! If you have a concern,

Discipline
We (the site owners) definitely believe the Bible stresses the importance
of discipline, or "discipleship" of our children; but do
NOT agree that spanking is mandated in Scripture. We believe that
the few verses in Proverbs were written with a point in mind (for
authority and teaching not to be neglected) as hyperbole, and that
the typical teaching in that area today goes against the teaching
of the Scriptures (Jesus taking our punishment) as a whole. If you
want to read more thoughts on this, you can read here.
We are commanded to strive to
walk in the Spirit, of which the fruit includes gentleness and meekness
(Gal 5). We are commanded for our gentleness to be known to all (Phil
4). Titus 2 commands us to teach the younger women to love their children.
Nowhere does the Bible even suggest that we encourage others to punish.
Therefore, we feel completely confident to ban discussing, encouraging
or promoting any type of corporal punishment (includes spanking, hot
saucing, etc) or resources which encourage it. We encourage the sharing
of creative, gentle, non-punitive ways to help frustrated mommas.
Some discipline tips can be found
here.
